WAITANGI GIFT
Forestry League’s Gratitude Appreciation of the magnificent gift to the Dominion by Lord and the Lady Bledisloe of the historic site of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi, along with 1000 acres of land adjoining, is expressed in, the annual report of the New Zealand Forestry League. The report states that a letter of appreciation was sent to their Excellencies and a suggestion made that the land should be named “Bledisloe Park.” This suggestion will be forwarded to the Board of Trustees as soon as it is constituted.
