IN RECEIVERSHIP

Huge Holding Company FALL IN SECURITIES (Rec. April 15, 10.15 p.m.) Chicago, April 14. The Middle-West Utilities Company, a 2500 million dollars holding company organised by Mr. Samuel Insul, a utilities magnate, has filed a bill of receivership in the Federal District Court. ! This is the largest corporation to go to receivership in the history of the United States. It was organised several years ago, when the stocks of the various interlocking companies were at peak prices. The subsequent depression in securities made the payment of obligations impossible. Mr. Insul, who has been appointed one of the receivers, has declared that ■the action would not affect the big utilities under his management.
