Primary Schools’ Union The third annual meeting of the Hutt Valley Primary Schools Rugby Union was held on Thursday last at the Hutt Central School, when Mr. 11. G. Ihoinpson presided over a well-attended gathering of delegates. The election of officers resulted as follows :—Management committee. Rev. Father Murphy (Petone Conyent), Messrs. H. Smith (Petone West), M. 1 itkowsky (Upper Hutt), W. J. Melody (Trontham)* A. Bell (Kastern Hutt), and D. G. Mclvor and F. G. Thompson (Trenthara). ex officio. Mr. W. J. Melody (Trentbam) was re-elected hon. secretary, sole selector, and delegate to the Wellington Rugby Football Union. . , Thirty-four teams—Seven senior, J junior. 7 intermediate, and 11 midgets have entered for this year’s competition, which will commence on Friday, April 23. The Wellington Rugby Football Union was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for donating foothalls, referees handbooks. and travelling expenses. It was decided by 12 votes to 8 to play all garner without imposing a weight limit. At a meeting of the management committee held after the general meeting, it was decided to issue team slips tor all matches, and to play the junior teams from Silverstream, Trentham. and Upper Hutt Schools in. a special upper valley section, thus lessening the amount of travelling to lie done. .
