Lower Hutt Activities The quarterly meeting of the Lower Hutt Methodist Church was held on Wednesday evening. There was a good attendance. The church membership is 365, and the financial position was stated to have improved slightly. Mr. A. N. Johnston was appointed foreign mission secretary, and Messrs. A. J. Johnston and T. W. Attwood churcli representatives to the district executive at Wellington. Mr. C. A. Russell, secretary of the youth department, reported that excellent progress had been made among the young people. Miss Alice Johnston was appointed secretary for the ensuing year. The Rev. D. 0. Williams reported on activities at Waiwetu. Reports were read of the young women’s and young men’s Bible class eamps held during Easter at the Eastern Hutt School and I’ahautanui respectively, by Miss E. Smith and the Rev. D. O. Williams. The Rev. H. Sharp then outlined the plans for the churches’ forward movement, which will take place during May.
