A QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY
The King gave a piece of jewellery to his youngest sistar, the Queen of Norway, on her sixty-seeond birthday. Other of her relatives have remembered Queen Jlaud’s fondness for books and her great interest iu music and the drama. According to the court custom, Queen Jtaud wore si special new dress on her birthday. She also received a box of flowers from the conservatories at Sandringham, the gift of the staff at the King’s Norfolk estate.
