CHICAGO BANK CLAIM
Employee Takes Large Sum £400,000 LLOYD’S POLICY (Rec. September 2, 8.15 p.m.) London, September 2. Lloyd’s underwriters have received a claim for £400,000 under a guarantee policy Issued to a Chicago bank. This Is a record, though it is understood that the loss by the. bank is actually £700,000, due to the defalcations of an employee over the last ten years. If Lloyd’s assessors in America admit the claim £400,000 will be cabled to Chicago.
