The results of the annual junior tennis tournament -conducted by the Wanganui Lawn Tennis Association on the Wanganui East courts are as follow:— Boys’ , Singles (under 18).—-Semi-finals; Bassett beat F. Clarke by default; Misses B. Burgess and Poynter beat Misses Barton and Shirtcliff. Final: Misses Hair and Dickie (Girls’ College and Waverley) beat Misses Burgess and Poynter, 7—5. Manawatu Association Palmerston North, December 12. The ManawatU Lawn Tennis Association is endeavouring to bold a Manawatu district tennis tournament in January, 1931, in addition to the association’s annual fixture, The district tourney, if fixed, will be probably commenced on January 22. and finish on the following Saturday. The following team has been chosen to represent the Rest iu a match against the Palmerston North Club, to be played on the Linton Street court to-morrow: — Wheeler. Boddy, Proctor.
