TRADE-MARK ACTION

Ploughshares Case By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, November 27. Evidence for the defence was concluded to-day in the case Ransome, Sims and Jeffries Ltd., of Ipswich, England, versus P. and D. Duncan Ltd., Christchurch, regarding alleged infringement of trade marks. The defence called witnesses to show that the letters “RNF,” the use of which by defendants on ploughshares and plough parts forms the basis of the action, were a pattern mark, not a trade mark. Counsel will address the court to-mor-row.
