COLLEGE VACATIONS

Breaking-up Ceremonies , Breaking-up ceremonies of the local colleges were notified to the Wellington College Board of Governors yesterday. The Wellington Boys’ College will break up for the summer vacation on December ijl. A ceremony will tie held in the Memorial Hall at 8 p.m., at which an address will be delivered by the Director of Education, Mr. T. B. Strong, and the prizes will he presented by Mrs. Strong. The Wellington Girls’ College will breakup with a ceremony at 11 a.m. on December 12, when his Excellency the GovernorGeneral will address the pupils, and Lady Bledisloe will present the prizes. Wellington East Girls’ College will close the year with a ceremony at the Concert Chamber of the Town Hall at 3 p.m. on December 12. Miss McLean will deliver an address, and Mrs. Strong will present the prizes. Rongotai Boys’ College will hold a gathering in the Capitol Theatre on December 16, at 8 p.m., when Colonel Powles will deliver an address.
