N.Z. Swimming Championships Dominion Special Service. Wanganui, November 27. At a meeting of the Wanganui Swimming Centre held recently it was decided to alter the (lutes of the forthcoming senior national swimming championship to March 4 to 7, instead of keeping to the previously arranged March 5 to 9. It was also decided that he Annette Kellerman race (in tlie river) should be held on Saturday afternoon instead of Friday, March 6, as it was held, Friday was needed by the competitors as a rest day, and also it would be difficult to get enough boats to follow the race on Friday. The following tentative programme was submitted for the championship events:— March 4. 100 yards men's national championship, 1 mile men's national championship, 150 yards men’s national back stroke championship, 100 yards women’s national championship, men’s and women’s diving, water polo. March 5. 200 yards men’s national championship, SOO yards men’s national championship, 200 yards men's breast stroke championship, 440 yards women’s national championship, 100 yards women’s back stroke championship, men’s and women’s diving, water polo. March 6. Conference of delegates.
’ 440 yards men’s national championship, 220 yards women's national championship, 220 yards women’s breast stroke championship, 50 yards invitation scratch race, 500 yards flying squadron, men’s and women’s diving, polo.
