On a similar charge, Hoiplpl Haeata was convicted and discharged. Action was taken against the defendants as a sequel tp an accident on the Gladstone Road on April 5 between a car driven by Mr. D. E. Wilton and the horses! Daphne McLeod, for parking a car at a distance of more than three feet from the kerb was convicted and ordered to pay CO A. S Munroo and A. L. Morgan were fined 10/- and 10/- costs for parking their cars in (flub Street. , . .. Jack Wagg. for falling to keep to the left of the road, was fined £1 and 10/C °For driving a motor-cycle without being the holder of a driver’s license, R. Evans was fined £1 and 10/- costs. On a charge of dangerous driving, he was fined £1 and 10/- costs, and for not haying a rear light he was convicted and discharged. Driving a car at a speed which might be dangerous, R. E. Hunt was fined £3 and 10/- costs. On a similar charge, A. J. Ritchie was fined £3 and 10/- costs. Selling cigarettes after hours cost Wong Nam £2 and 10/- costs. On a charge. of failing to notify the Inspector of Factories that he sold cigarettes defendant was convicted and discharged, and for falling to close his shop £1 and 10/- costs. For falling to notify the inspector of overtime. Barber Bros, were convicted and ordered to pay costs 10/-.
