CARGO OF OPIUM

SOMEWHERE ON HIGH SEAS Geneva, May 14. Somewhere on the high seas there is a vessel laden with 2300 cases of opium, according to information Mr. Henderson has supplied to the League Council. The cargo represents £250,000 worth of raw opium, sufficient to poison a continent. The ship left Bushire for Vladivostok and has since disappeared. The League Opium Committee is trying to prevent it reaching its destination, probably Chinn.
