Te Arolia, December 27. Eighteen professional athletes from all parts of New Zealand competed for cash prizes aggregating £lBO at Springdale yesterday. A. Watson won the principal running events, and Stace, of Tc Aroha, won the chief cycling event from McCann, New Plymouth. J. C. Lapkin and J. McCormack dead-heated in the fifteeninch standing chop for a purse of £3O.
