WAIRARAPA ASSOCIATION.
Carterton,' June 1. The annual meeting of the Wairarapa Miniature Rifle Association was held at Carterton last night, Mr. G. W. Busby presiding. , r The annual report and balance-sheet, showing a credit balance of £1 13s. 2d., was adopted. The following clubs affiliated with the association: Featherston (2), South Featherston, Carterton, Greytown, and Pirinoa.
Officers were elected as follow: Patron, Mr. W. Howard Booth; president, Mr. G. W. Busby; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. F. Thompson, T. Orr, W. •J. Feast, A. L. Webster, C. G. Bouzaid, I. Blissett, H. E. Jackson, H. M. B. Trapp, T. H. Hughes, J. B. Laurence, J. Udy, J. B. Bairstow, G. Hughan, L. G. Benton, Watson and Johnson, H. E. Hart, Witcombe and Caldwell, C. J. Nix, A. Viles, J. C. Bidwill, G. E. Yule, Colonel T. W. McDonald, K. C. Munro, D. McDougall, Mrs. Wakely; secretary and treasurer, Mr. C. J. De Lacey; honorary auditor, Mr. W. Johnson; scrutineers, Messrs. Busby and Nix; referee, Mr. W. Johnson; range officers, Messrs. R. P. Wakelin and R. F. Watson; target stewards, Messrs. K. McKenzie, J. Lenihan, and H. Tilson; executive committee, .Messrs. W. Johnson, C. J. De Lacey, J. B. Bairstow, L. G. Benton, C. J. Nix, G. W. Busby, H. Rolls, 11. Tilson, K. McKenzie, P. Wilton, R. Hills. The programme of last season’s championship meeting was adopted for this season and, failing the entries not proving satisfactory, the prize money is to be curtailed. Messrs. Busby and De Lacey are to arrange the date, for the meeting. A bonus was voted 'to the secretary in appreciation of his services.
