ESPERANTO CLUB

The weekly meeting of the Wellington Esperanto Club was held last Tuesday evening in the Dominion Farmers’ Institute, Mr. E. C. Jack presiding. At lhe conclusion of conversation and instruction classes an interesting programme was presented. Miss L. Dick read the amusing Esperanto short story “La Filo, ' followed by “The Restaurant Episode” in Esperanto by Miss K. Brailsford. Mr Jack spoke in Esperanto on “Thomas Carlyle and His Book—Sartor Resartus.” The concluding item was an address in the international language by the secretary. Mr. B. Potts, on “Socrates and Plato—Their Influence ou Grecian Philosophy-”
