WARNING FROM BENCH. Masterton, April 26. Three boys appeared before Mr. J. Miller, S.M.. in the Masterton Children's Court this morning, charged with wilfully damaging panes of glass in the Memorial Park. Sergeant Dyer stated that for a considerable time the Memorial Park Board had been caused expense because of damage done to windows in the pavilion. Mr. F. W. Pointon, secretary to the board, stated that his board was faced with the replacement of some 200 panes of glass, at a cost of 2s. per pane. Damage of this nature, he' said, was frequent, and caused heavy expense. In addressing the boys the Magistrate stated , that if . they came _ before him again he would order a whipping. Ihe boys would be placed under the supervision of the Probation Officer for six months, and as lie did not consider the boys had been under proper control, their parents would be ordered to pay 10s. each towards the damage.
