SMALL INCREASE A small increase in the Customs revenue collected at the port of Wellington in October is shown when compared with the figures for the corresponding month last year. Customs returns for the month ended to-day were £72,081 19s. 7d., against £55,321 13s. for the corresponding period last year. The beer duty amounted to £25 069 13s. 6d., against £25,691 13s. Id. The tire tax was £1453 145., and petrol tax £4154 Ils. Sd.
