MASTERTON PICTURE COMPANY
ANNUAL REPORT.
Masterton, May 22. The fifteenth annual report of the Masterton Picture and Entertainment Co., Ltd., states that the year has been most satisfactory. Receipts from entertainments show an increase on last year’s figures of approximately £BOO net. The amount transferred to the reserve account is £3381, as against £1482 last year, bringing the total of the reserve account to £9199. The difference is largely accounted for by the amount written off machinery and plant for the year 192627. The directors have made a call o£ 10s. per share in respect of the uncalled capital of the company, and now recommend the declaration of a bonus dividend of a like amount to be transferred, from the reserve account to the credit of the shareholders’ calls account, to liquidate the amount of the call. Shareholders will thus be relieved of further responsibility in regard to the share capital. The directors further recommend the declaration of a dividend of one shilling per share, and for this purpose have set aside £750 from the appropriation account in anticipation of shareholders endorsing the recommendation. The auditor, \ Mr. G. W. Sellar, offers his services for another term.
