Crowds of residents and visitors thronged the Chateau St. Germain where the French Kings formerly lived to catch a glimpse of the .Maharajah of Indore's American bride, who has just arrived from India. The couple remained indoors- - The only appearance was that of Indian servants, who showed that a bit of the “Gorgeous East” had been translated here. At a cost of £300,000. hundreds of painters, plasterers, and decorators have worked on the chateau for a year, while the staff includes 30 gardeners and 70 domestics of the Maharajah. The sunniest corner of the building is gorgeously fitted up as a fairyland boudoir for the bride, witli nine fountains and hundreds of beautiful cushions. Cabled invitations are pouring in from America, including one from the Boosters’ Association of Seattle, the bride’s home town.
