WAKEFIELD PARK

PAVILION NO NEARER Though plans for a new pavilion in Wakefield Park were prepared by the reserves department over two years ago, the building seems as far away as ever. The original idea _ was that the pavilion should be combined with a golfhouse for the municipal golt course at Berhampore, and that a tearoom should be included. The pavilion is stated to be on the list of works which the council will have on the loan proposals to be submitted to the. ratepayers following the next “three-issue” loan project, which is now in hand When these other proposals will come forward is unknown, but probably it will not be in the life of the present council.

All the money which ’ the reserves committee had in hand for accommodation at Wakefield Park consists of £250 on the estimates. Of this £44 has been spent.
