FINED .£2O AND LICENSE CANCELLED.
“Although T don’t suppose a motor cyclo in charge of an intoxicated driver is quite as dangerous as a motor-ear, at the same time it could cause serious damage on the road,” said- Mr. J. H. Salmon, S.M.. in the Magistrate’s Court yesterday whpn referring to Sidney Mark Maskell, a seaman, aged 21, who admitted being found in charge of- a motor-cycle and side car while in a state of intoxication.
Sub-Inspector Harvey stated ..that accused was seen in Lambton Quay about 5.30 on Saturday afternoon under the influence of liquor. He was taken into custody. Maskell was fined .£2O, in default two months imprisonment, and suspended from driving for oue year. He was allowed a mouth in which to find the money.
