6 IN RIVER YARRA. (Rec. January 23, 5.5 p.m.) Melbourne, January 23. Three children, Wilford Mumford, seven years, William Mearns, ten, and Dorothy Mearns, six,, who were playing on the banks of the Yarra at Studley Park, were missed, and their bodies were afterwards found in the river. The father of the Mcarns’s children spent several hours diving, and when almost exhausted he discovered the body of his daughter.
