DEPINEDO’S ROUTE Rome, January 20. . Marquis de Pinedo, on the eve of his departure tor his world flight, visited Signor Mussolini, and was warmly farewelled. His amended route of 43,000 miles is via Gibndtat, Canary Islands, Cape Verde, Buenos Aires, and thence to Santiago de Chile, Juan Fernandez, Samoa, New Zealand, Melbourne, Tokio, Peking, Calcutta, Karachi, Arabia, Somaliland, round Africa by way of Durban, Cape Town, atid the Atlantic Coast; thence td Rome. Rome, January 21. Consequent on Signor Mussolini’s request that he should use his next flight primarily to demonstrate speed possibilities, Marquis de Pinedo has altered his plans. The route will be a triangular one from Italv to South America, and up the West Coast to San Francisco and British Columbia, and back across the Atlantic via the Azores and Lisbon. The airman expects tp complete the whole flight ot 25,000 miles in two months.
