— 4 Carterton, December i. Five births, two deaths, and one marriage were registered in Featherston for November. The results of the first round of the Wairarapa inter-club corquet fixtures are as follow: A grade, Featherston 5-2, Grevtown 39, Carterton 26. B grade, Masterton 46, Featherston 44, Greytown 40, Carterton 33. The Carterton Cricket Chib acknowledges with thanks donations from Messrs. E. R. Wilkins and F. Rowlings. The garden party held in the King s Theatre, Carterton, yesterday, under the auspices of St. Mark’s Ladies’ Guild was successful, the receipts being over £ll3. The aggregates for ranges, 300, 500, and 600 yards in the No. 1 competitions, counting the two best scores at each distance, of the. Greytown Defence Rifle Chib are as follow:—J. C. The differences between the Oreytown School Committee (who resigned) and the Wellington Education Board have been adiusted, and the resignations withdrawn. . The benefit picture entertainment given in aid of the funds of the Greytown Fire Brigade realised £lO.
