To all who like to conic ami settle or visit New Zealand we extend a warm invitation.” Thus Mr. Coates concluded a general talk on New Zealand which was broadcast by wireless throughout the count rv to-night In the course of • the talk tlie Prune Minister gave a general description of the Dominion as a voting country enjoying a beautiful land and fine climate. It had the problem of entailing the spending of large sums on vast public works incidental to extending settlement; nevertheless the whole of the national debt, including seventy-six millions of war debt, was being reduced yearly.
