EVIDENCE OF MR. WILLIS Sydney. October 13. Giving evidence before the Select Committee investigating Hie alleged bribery plot, Mr Willis, vice-president of the Executive Council and chairman of directors of the “Labour Dailv’’ newspaper, said that he had no knowledge of the alleged plot before the pv*lication in rhe “Labour Dailv ” and the article alleging that a plot existed was not published with his knowledge After the article was published, P Hi Farlev came to Ins house, and that was the first time he knowinglv had seen Farley. rhe latter called twice on him afterwards, but witness refused to have anything to do with him. Later the editor of the 'Labour Daily” told witness that the ..-tides were not based on information ■ reived from Farley. . The committee adjourned siws die.
