QUESTION OF SATURDAY AFTERNOON WORK. BY Telegraph.—T’bess Association. Christchurch, July 9. As the result of a ballot taken recently by the Lyttelton watersiders on the question of resinning work on Saturday afternoons, the men will continue to cease work at noon on Saturdays. Though the figures of the ballot have not been officially disclosed, it is said that a milch larger percentage voted this time in favour of reverting to (lie old practice of working on Saturday afternoons than on the previous rccasion, when the voting was SGO to SI.
