Madrid (Christchurch) lowered the fivemilc motor-paced record, his time being Bmin. 10 2-ssec. The New Zealand record, previously held by J. Fitzgerald (Australia), is Bmin. ’sec. In the half and qua-ter-mile match races, M. Fitzgerald (Victoria) easily beat Mackie.
