The Waitaki sub-branch of the Teachers’ Institute have taken strong exception to the Minister’s remarks, "that he would hardly recognise • the pupils of a junior high school as the old fifth and sixth standards of a primary school,” as being extravagant, and an uncalled for, and an undeserved slur on the primary system.
