END OF LIMERICK STRIKE
AGAINST GERMAN CONTRACTORS.
London, January 17. The labour dispute, which has lasted for four months at Limerick in connection with the big German scheme for electrical power derived from the Shannon, has been virtually terminated bv the dockers deciding to discharge the steamers carrying constructional materials. —Reuter. (The plan for the generation of electricity from the River Shannon in Ireland emanated from the German firm of Siemens, which secured the contract at a figure of several millions. In consequence of the low wages offered, Irish workers refused to take part in the work, and dockers at Limerick declined to unload German plant.)
