XARANAKI CHAMPIONSHIPS. By TsLEGnirn.—Pnfiss AssodixTioH. Hawera, January 14. The Taranaki swimming •championships were held hero last evening. Althtmgh the conditions were favourable, the times registered by the swimmers were poor. After the meeting tho Taranaki representatives at the New Zealand championship meeting were selected as follow:— Seniors. —F. W. Grant, Haivera; H. 3. Weston, New Plymouth. Intermediates.—D. B. Rawson and W. Penman, New Plymouth. Intermediate Girl.—B. Gayton. A swimmer was not picked for, the senior short distances. The results of th© championships 50yds.: H. D.
