PLEA FOR SUPERANNUATION
A strong plea on behalf of the superannuation system was made by Mr. Girling Butcher, vice-president of the AVellington Federated Association of Superannuated Public Servants, at the annual meeting yesterday. He said that some eminent politicians had stated that the superannuation system was a burden to the Government. “I want to state here,” he said, “that if it were not for the superannuation fund tlio Government would have to pay a great amount more than at present.” He declared that the Government were paying more towards the National Provident Fund than towards the Superannuation Fund.
