SECOND MATE’S WIDOW CLAIMS COMPENSATION. BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Auckland, April 11 The Supreme Court heard a case in which Jane Elizabeth Peck, ..widow of Leslie G. Peck, second mate of the barque Manurewa. which was lost off the Australian coast last year, claimed £750 from A. S. Paterson, Ltd., and Kate Ruby Holmes, owners of tho vessel. Decision was reserved.
