The Management Committee of the New Zealand Cricket Council, at a meeting to-night decided to recommend the general meeting- to convene a conference of representatives pf minor associations at Christchurch in Grand National Week to consider the future of the Hawke Cup- compete tlo The request of the Wellington Association that an inquiry be held in regard to the charge of watering the wicket’in tlie Wellington-Canterbury match was considered. It was decided that’- an inquiry be held at "tho earnest opportunity, and that Mr. c Collins and one representative of the Wellington Association be invited to attend at the expense of tho New Zealand Cricket Council.
