1 The glut of 'apples and pears continues unabated at tho markets. Excellent eating apples can be purchased at ss. per case, and cookers as low as 3s. per case. Pears are also plentiful and extremely cheap. Ripe tomatoes were sold at Is. per case, but greens brought as high as ss. per case yesterday. Good quality lettuce was sold at 2s. per case, and marrows were very cheap. Ihe bananas by tho Rarotonga boat arrived in fair condition. Good cases brought as high as 235.
