COMBINED DOG PARADE
CANINE ARISTOCRATS AT KELBURN PARK.
The Combined Fanciers’ Association held their fifth annual dog parade at Kelburn Park on Saturday afternoon. There was a good entry of high-class dogs, which were paraded before a largo attendance of the public. The committee had made good arrangements to ensure a successful parade, and tho manager (Mr. J. H. Wright), president (Mr. P. 'B. Phipson), and Mrs. A. H' Nicholls (secretary), assisted by Mr. S. H. Rastall, are to bo congratulated oniso well carrying out their various duties. The judges were: Sydney silky and Australian terriers, Mrs. Barlow Wills; all other toy breeds. Mr. Barlow Wills; bulldogs and terriers, Mr. P. W. Willson; all other breeds, Mr. C. Bould; champion of champions’ class, Mr. E. Bernascom. Misses Enid Coe, Fay Wills, Lottie Rastall, and Noya Baudinot presented the ribbons to tho various prize-win-ners. Gold-lettered ribbons were awarded to all first, second, and third prizewinners, and large ribbons, hand-work-ed, were presented to: Champion of champions, Mr. C. Bould’s ch. Dorothy Perkins; winner of winners and best any breed other than toy, Mr. M. Hubbard’s Waripori Wonder ; best Airedale puppy, Master Jack Tracy’s Go-Get-Em; best wirehair fox terrier puppy, Airs. Walter G. Johnston’s Waripori Wrattler; best, toy, either sex, and best toy dog, Mrs. Percy Phipson’s Chesney Wold Jum Jum; best toy puppy, Mrs. W. Olliver’s To Whore Gold Light; best puppy other than toy, Mr. Alex. Brown’s .Hawthorn I'Torrie; best toy bitch, Miss K. Mclntosh’s Sheila.
Other special ribbons were awarded to the best of each breed, as follows: — Greyhounds: Air. A. B. Cook’s Evan’s Pride. Samoyedes: Airs. \V. H. Richard’s Doctor. Pointers: L. J. Ell’s Countess. English' setters: J. Toft’s Braeside Prince. Irish setters: AV. H. Trengrove’s Idstone Nirvana. Retrievers: Aliss B. AlcGrath’s Digger. Irish water spaniels: lan AlcKay’s Mickey. Black and tan terriers: B Lenny’s Tiney. Rough-coated collies : Turner’s Alosgiel Roy. Airedale terriers: Alastcr jack Tracy’s Go-Get-Em. Cocker spaniels: Airs. Pearce’s Sheila. Fox terriers (smooth): L. Cimino’s Scamp. AYire-hair fox terriers: Al. Hubbard’s AVaripori AA’onder. Irish Terriers: AV. R. Crook’s Regan Rafferty Scottish terriers: Alec. Brown’s Hawthorn Dirk.
