Mr. If. T. Sadler, superintendent of the Yorkshire Insurance Co., Ltd., is on a visit to New Zealand from Australia. He left Wellington last night for the South Island, accompanied bv Mr. Vernon Irving, manager, Wellington. Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Oakes, of tho Duke of Edinburgh Hotel, who aro .retiring from business, were farewellcd by the staff, and presented with a pair of handsome brass jardinieres. The happy relationship which luid at all times existed between employer and employees were emphasised during the gathering, and tho health of Mr. and Mrs. Oakes was toasted with musical honours.
