ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO BRIBE
CHARGES AGAINST BRISBANE JOURNALISTS. Brisbane, September 26. John Sleeman and Edward Connolly were charged at the Supreme Court with attempting to influence the vote of F. Brennan. The hearing was adjourned, bail being granted in the sum of £5OO. —Press Assn. [Sleeman and Connolly, two Brisbane journalists, were alleged to have attempted to bribe Mr. F. Brennan, a member of the Queensland Labour Party, to vote against the Government on.a censure motion in the Legislative Assembly.]
