(Rec. September 26, 9.5 p.m.) New York, September 26. At Suncook village, in New Hampshire, a quarrel over a piece of flannel resulted m tbe death of two women. Mrs. Goward purchased a piece of goods from a neighbour, Mrs. Carpenter, and when the latter called to collect the money a dispute ensued. Mrs. Carpenter departed and Mrs. Goward seized a revolver and shot her neighbour in the back, killing her. Airs. Goward then locked herself up and committed suicide with the same weapon.—Aus.-N.Z.
