RESUMPTION EXPECTED.

Dispatches from Shanghai and HongKong state that the British Consul(ieneral at Canton has instructed Brit--ish residents in Shamien, the foreign settlement of Canton, to arm themselves, in expectation of the-resump-tion of the bombardment by Dr. Sun Yat Sen’s forces.—Aus.-N.Z.
