AGGREGATION OF LAND
A PETITION FROM WAIPAWA Sir George Hunter (AVaipawa) has presented a petition from electors of his district asking for “an inquiry into the aggregation of land in New Zealand, and especially the trafficking in Native lands in the Waipawa electorate.” The petitioners ask Parliament to take such action as will prevent the sale of Native lands to large landowners and to inquire into tho case of Riria AVaiapu, of Takokino, Hawke’s 'Bay.
