MISSING MEN ARRIVE SAFELY MR. FURKERT SUSTAINS BAD FALL BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. Taumarunui, June 28. News has been received from laupo that the missing Public Works Department’s resident engineer, Air. Keller, and its road foreman, Air. Corlett, arrived at Alokai to-day, after cutting their way through tho bush: They wore five days overdue, and missed the search party. _ , _ Air. F. W. Furkert, Engmeer-m-Chief of the Public Works Department, while attempting to Overtake the party searching from Waimiha for the missing men, fell over a stump yesterday and broke two ribs. He rode back to Waimiha to-day and came on by train to Taumarunui to-night. Air. Furkert is at present in hospital.
