News has been received from laupo that the missing Public Works Department’s resident engineer, Air. Keller, and its road foreman, Air. Corlett, arrived at Alokai to-day, after cutting their way through tho bush: They wore five days overdue, and missed the search party. _ , _ Air. F. W. Furkert, Engmeer-m-Chief of the Public Works Department, while attempting to Overtake the party searching from Waimiha for the missing men, fell over a stump yesterday and broke two ribs. He rode back to Waimiha to-day and came on by train to Taumarunui to-night. Air. Furkert is at present in hospital.
