AMATEUR BOXERS ON STRIKE
A DISPUTE OVER TICKETS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Gisborne, June 8. The Boxing Association’s elimination contests, preparatory to the tournament which will commence to-morrow, did not eventuate, owing to the amateur boxers going on strike in consequence of a dispute regarding complimentary tickets for their trainers. The committee subsequently announced that it had suspended those concerned in the strike
