ACCUSED COMMITTED FOR TRIAL.

\ Christchurch, April 27. A charge of bookmaking nas heard in the Magistrate’s Court against William Wheeler, who pleaded not guilty, reserved his defence, and was committed for trial at the Supreme Court. • Bail was allowed in £5OO, on the accused’s own recognisances.
