VICTORIA CROSS WINNERS
NOT WANTED BY EMPLOYERS. (Rec. June 26, 5.5 p.m.) London, June 21. The secretary of the National Federation of Discharged Soldiers eays that several are declining the King's invitation to a Victorian Cross garden party because they are too poor to obtain decent clothes. They are advised to attend as this would show the public the condition of affairs. Employers generally are fighting shy of Victoria Cross winners, thinking their psychology unfits them for civil employment—United Service.
