At the commencement prices declined 10s., but later the market became firm at late rates. Best bullocks, £22 to £24; extra, £27; medium to good, £18 to £20; light, £15 10s. to £16 10s.; best cows and heifers, £16 10s. to £18; extra show lieifer, £2o 7s. 6d.; medium to good, £15 10s.: light, £12 to £13 10s.
. Sheep (2003 penned): The offerings ■were principally shorn ewes and wethers of good quality. Some very heavy wotliers in wool met good competition.' ,'L'lie entry exceeded requirements, and prices declined 25., and in some instances more: Best woolly wethers 48s. to 535.; extra, 605.; good, 445. to 465.; best woolly ewes, 465. to 485.; extra, 545. ; medium- to good, 425. to 445.; best shorn wethers, 365. 6d. to 39a.; extra, 415.; medium to good, 335. to 855.; best shorn owes, 525. to 365.; medium to good, 295. 6d. to 31s. ' Lambs (49 penned): Thero was a keen demand and an advance of ,4s. Best, 30s. to 335.; extri, 355. 3d.; good, 28s. to 30s.
~ Thero was a good yarding of pigs. Priccs wcro slightly easier.
