' POUND DKOWNED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, November S The body of Mary Cleiry, wife of Frederick Cleiriv, labourer, of Panmure, was found in the Tamafci River. The evidence at tho inquest showed that the deceased had been depressed owing to her inability, through illness, to care for a young baby. An open verdict was returned. CHILD KILLED BY MOTOR-CAR; Whangarei, November 5. A verdict of accidental death was recorded tTiis morning at an inquest concerning the death of a. four-year-old girl, Iris Marsh, who unexpectedly Tan in front of a motor-car on Saturday afternoon on Mill Road,. Whangarei. The chauffeur ¥ad no chanco to avert thfl mishap. Death was practically instantaneous. The driver was exonerated from all blame.
