SUGGESTED BEACH IMPROVEMENT A meeting of Lyall Bay householders, presided over l).v Jtr.'.T. P: Brandon, was held at flussell's ten-rooms last evening to forward the movement for the provision of the usual seaside amusements on the beach at the bay. It was announced that the owner of an "ocean wave' , had offered lo sell it for uso on the beach. It was slated that it was intended to provide swings free, and to furnish the beach with ether attractions to induce people to patronise the bay. Members present stressed the point that if the City Council popularised the beach it would get a return in increased car revenue. It was pointed out that the council had previously refused tn assist, and a. committee, comprising Messrs. .T. R. Stansell, Clark, sen.. Evans, Pell, ,J. P. Brnndon, A.
