Abraham and Williams, Ltd.. report:—Our stock sale at Linton on September 19 was well attended, and uo l:ad a fair muster of stock.- Bidding was keen, and with tlio exception of a line cf bullocks 1 everything-was - disposed of, high prices ruling. A pen of prime light-weight heifers and calves on account of Mr. T. M. Messrs. Dalgety and Co.. Ltd!, "Palmerston North, report having a fair entry of sheep and cattle at, their Palmerston Ncrth sale on Thursday last. There was a- good dqmand for sheep, but cattle were dull of sile, and .--the majority were turned out unsold. Yearling heifers. £4 10s. to £5 Is.; ewes, and lamba, 325. 6d. to 375. id.; ertpty ewes,-'-235. 7d.; wether hoggets, 30s. 9d.; good mised ihoggets, 345.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. report:—At Feilding on Friday last a moderate entry of sheep and a fair yarding of - cattle came forward. Cattle were in keen demand, and sold briskly. Sheep were difficult' to quit- at- auction, but good,business was done'after the sale.
