FIRST ANNUAL MEETING OP ASSOCIATION. The annual meeting of ftie Wellington Vegetable and Fruitgrowers' Association (Incorporated) was held at the Taita School on Friday last before a large attendance of members. The association has been formed to watch ■ the interests of fruit and vegetables growers generally, and the first year of its existence- lis disclosed by the report and balance-sheet showed a very satisfactory state of affairs. The finances are in a healthy/ condition, and the membership steadily increasing, a number of new members being elected at the meeting. The report and balance-sTieet were adopted, and officers for the ensuing year elected as follow: —President, I' 1 . S. Hewer; vice-president, Mr. C. AY. Howard; secretary and treasurer, J. beholes; executive. Messrs. A. Rumgay, F. Bertelson. T. ft. Foster. J. Liddle, J. Pescini,, A. Tillbury, and V. Pemberton. Air. G. F. Judd was re-elected auditor.
